Author Readings and School Visits:

 
Author Kristen Zajac enjoys visiting schools, bookstores, libraries, festivals, military bases, and hospitals to conduct book readings for fans of her books and their families. 

School Visit Programs: Author facilitates three 30 minute sessions comprised of several classes each (usually K-1, 2-3, 4-5). Author reads her book, teaches a lesson, and leads a patriotic sing-a-long on her guitar.

 Book Reading Visit Needs:

1) Chair, computer, & big screen for projecting book

2) Microphone and microphone stand

3) Carpeted space is best with children seated on the floor.

5) (For schools) Request teachers stay with their class during book reading and discussion sessions.

For trips out of town or out of state, author also requires coverage of travel costs (car mileage, air fare, lodging) in addition to speaking fee.  If several schools in the area partner together, traveling expenses can be divided so they are less to each school.  (Request a POC to pick author up from the airport or hotel and drive/accompany her to the schools out of state for logistical purposes.)

*** Jan 14-15, 2012- Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival, Children's Village, Glazer Children's Museum, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Downtown Tampa. Join Kristen for readings of "Chasing the Spirit of Service", info on the Tuskegee Airmen, and patriotic guitar led sing-a-longs. (Saturday, 1/14 11am-2pm and Sunday, 1/15 1pm-4pm)
